House Sparfeld

House Sparfeld is an ecologic double-housing refurbishment with a reconstruction of an old barn in KfW 100 standard near Berlin. It runs on an air/water heat pump combined with a 13 KW photovoltaics. The old barn parts worth to keep are insulated with an traditional inner clay wall while the rest of the facade is insulated with a wooden fibres. A big and north orientated glass volume enhances the lighting situation and opens the house to the lakeside close by.
